Yellow weather warning for ice

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice for Tuesday

Key Information:

The warning area covers all the Scottish Borders excluding Eyemouth

Warning runs from 5am to midday

Outbreaks of rain and hill snow, falling on subzero surfaces, could lead to some icy conditions on Tuesday morning

Snow accumulations of 1-3 cm will be possible on some hills above about 300m elevation.

Icy patches expected on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces may be likely so take extra precautions where possible
